The Louisiana Deapartment of Health / Office of Public Health regulates and inspects food service establishments and institutions within the state of Louisiana. The Retail Food Program inspections include but are not limited to restaurants, school kitchens, grocery stores, mobile units, and nursing home kitchens.
The Retail Food Program manages the Food Safety Certification Program which currently requires one person in each food service establishment to maintain food safety training certifications.
