Meet our Members

Pointe Coupee Jelly Company

“My grandmother was such an inspiration to me. Always canning whatever my grandfather grew in the garden. I've always loved experimenting with different recipes. Living in a farming community and my husband being a sugarcane farmer, I decided to make my Pepper Jelly with local cane sugar. After years of doing so, all the hard work paid off. I then had my product bottled and labeled in a commercial facility. My product being Certified Louisiana gives me such joy, knowing that local and homegrown ingredients in Louisiana are part of my product. The best part is the raw cane sugar because I watch the hard work put into our cane farm and the many sacrifices and ups and downs all farmers endure.”

A Message from Commissioner Mike Strain

The Certified Louisiana, Certified Cajun, Certified Creole and Certified Farm to Table logo program serves to brand and promote Louisiana and its agricultural commodities.

This program puts Louisiana companies at an advantage when consumers see a Certified Louisiana product on the shelves.

It brings a sense of awareness to buyers that their food has not traveled thousands of miles, and it came from our locals.

The Certified Louisiana logo program aids in marketing these products to consumers for farmers, processors, producers, and suppliers. With the recognition of the Certified Louisiana logos, buyers help support their local homegrown companies and stimulate the economy.

Look for the Certified Louisiana logos at your favorite grocery, restaurant, or farmer’s market. Buy Louisiana … it’s the way to greaux!
