MIAMI – March 28, 2023 – First time Seatrade Cruise Global exhibitor, Arquitectonica, looks to make a splash at this year’s conference and exhibition in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.
A veteran in the cruise industry since the 1990’s, with the completion of the Disney Cruise Line Terminal at Port Canaveral, the firm has stayed active in the development of port and waterway master planning, terminal design and resort and travel destination developments around the world.

Now with three cruise terminals in Florida, including the two newest terminals at PortMiami for Virgin Voyages and MSC Cruises, the firm continues to spread its footprint on ports globally and is working with the Xiamen Port Authority on the port’s 5.9 million square foot mixed-use, master planned development that is a destination unto itself.

Currently under construction and scheduled to open in 2024, the Cruise Port of Xiamen is an example that showcases Arquitectonica’s strength in waterfront development and mixed-use design. The Cruise Port’s design includes 538,000 SF of cruise terminals capable of berthing 3 cruise ships simultaneously, 800,000 SF of hotels, over a million square feet of offices, and 790,000 SF of entertainment venues and attractions. With more than 75 waterfront resort, travel, residential and commercial projects, the firm is a clear leader in creating landmark waterfront destinations.
Other travel destination planning projects include a private island in the Caribbean, natural and man-made islands including Lulu Island and Al Jubail Island off the coast of Abu Dhabi to redevelopments of historical ports and waterways including the Shanghai Shipyards Site along the Huangpu River.
