REMBRANDT (Real Time Manoeuvring Berthing And Training) is a Windows based, 3D time domain, navigation and seakeeping simulation software application. It is is certified as a DnV Class A (full bridge mission), B (multi-task), C (limited task) and S (special task) simulator. Details of these classifications are provided in Annex A.
REMBRANDT is fully scalable in terms of hardware (full mission; desktop PC; laptop) to support the consultancy and licence sales such as: Project engineering support – desktop consultancy, REMBRANDT used in-house by BMT to undertake a specific simulation on behalf of a client to answer a range of design or operational questions.
License sales:
⎻standard licenses for on-board ships to support navigation officers;
⎻standard office-based licenses to support fleet/port/pilot operations;
⎻full mission licences (DnV Class A/B 220 – 360-degree full mission-based) for nautical college training.
⎻ECDIS, GMDSS and Radar modules and consoles also supplied by BMT.
