The Port continues to make investments to improve the baggage handling facilities and increase cruise parking and 2020 will see further improvements to increase capacity of its main cruise facility, Northumbrian Quay. The project will create an additional 500,000 m2 of space which will more than double the quay width making the area more accessible for coach transfers. This will provide an enhanced and seamless passenger experience whilst retaining the highest standards of pedestrian safety.
