Blackwater Technical Services is an independent ISO 17025:2017 certified laboratory. We specialize in product certification testing of building envelope and fenestration systems and products such as windows, doors, curtain walls, window walls, railings, structural wall panels, and hurricane protection products. The tests we routinely perform include Impact Testing (Hurricane and Tornado), Cyclic Wind Pressure Loading, Structural Pressure Loading, Operating Force, Forced Entry Resistance, Water Penetration (Static Pressure and Dynamic), Air Infiltration, Static Water Pressure Flood Resistance, Wall/Floor Panel Structural Tests (racking, tensile, compression, cyclic loading, cold creep, etc), Accelerated Weathering, and Salt Spray.
We can achieve test pressures in excess of 300 psf, and impact velocities in excess of 150 fps to qualify your products for the Florida Building Code High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) and ICC-500 storm shelter loads, with specimen sizes up to 35’ tall and 50’ wide.
