Shawn is a member of Forvis National Insurance Services Practice and serves as a member of the firmwide Insurance Committee. He has more than 20 years of experience providing accounting and audit services to large and small privately held and publicly traded companies in a variety of industries, including insurance, third-party administration and IT.
Before joining Forvis, Shawn was a senior manager with an international firm. Shawn also worked as a SEC reporting manager for an international offshore drilling contractor and as controller for an international telematics service provider.
A licensed CPA in Texas and Arkansas, he is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Arkansas Society of Certified Public Accountants and Insurance Accounting & Systems Association, Incorporated (IASA). Shawn also is a member of the Forvis's national accounting and auditing committee, which oversees internal accounting and auditing policies and procedures.
Shawn serves as the engagement partner on several of Forvis’s largest insurance clients, including clients that file with the SEC.
He currently serves on the board at Easter Seals Arkansas, where he serves on the building and finance committee. He also serves on the advisory board for the College of Business at the University of Arkansas Little Rock.
Shawn is a 1996 cum laude graduate of Texas A&M University, College Station, with a B.B.A. degree in accounting.
