One of the benefits of obstetrical care at UCSF is that should the need arise, high-risk care can be provided seamlessly. High-risk specialists work side by side with other providers, as one team. Should your newborn need special medical care, we have one of the nation's finest intensive care nurseries. The nursery is certified by the state of California as a Regional Intensive Care Nursery, meaning it provides all levels of neonatal care.
