  • SureAlloy Premium Carbide Overlay Plate
All alloys used in the SureAlloy® line are custom blended by SAS, enabling quality control from start to finish, and ensuring you receive the finest chromium carbide plate and complex carbide overlay plate available....

  • SAS Global Corporation has over 60 years of expertise with abrasion-resistant materials. During those 60-plus years, SAS Global has developed equipment and a proprietary manufacturing method for producing Premium Carbide Overlay Wear Plate Products known as SureAlloy®. All of the alloys used in the creation of SureAlloy® are custom blended by SAS Global, enabling quality control from start to finish, and ensuring you receive the finest chromium carbide plate and complex carbide overlay plate available today.

SureAlloy®  is available in a large range of thicknesses. Our advanced technology permits overlays on unusually thin base plates and to deposit thicker overlays than the base plate for lower-weight solutions or other specific customer applications.

SureAlloy is available in the following:

SA1750CR Premium Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate
SA1750CR® is a Premium Chromium Carbide Overlay Plate consisting of a Hypereutectic Matrix with 50-60% Chromium Carbides metallurgically fused to an appropriate steel substrate. This large amount of hard chromium carbides allows SA1750CR to thrive in environments of extremely high abrasion.

SA2000® Premium Complex Carbide Overlay Plate
SA2000® is a specially formulated complex carbide overlay plate designed to generate a high concentration of small primary carbides greatly improving wear resistance over conventional chromium carbide alloys. The refined microstructure containing harder complex carbides provides greater wear resistance and improved toughness. The inert refractory carbides present also increase the temperature resistance and corrosion resistance. Up to double the service life of a standard chromium carbide overlay plate.

SA6000® Patented Microstrucure Complex Carbide Overlay Plate
SA6000® is the new future of overlay wear plate.  The patented microstructure of SA6000 is highly refined with tightly packed complex carbides. This fine-grain microstructure reduces the propagation of cracks, which results in not only superior protection from abrasion but also unheard-of impact resistance!

    SA-MCC
SA-MCC was developed to satisfy the various application needs of our customers. SA-MCC Multiple Complex Overlays can be custom blended to provide material characteristics needed for specific wear resistivity.  For example, if the application requires increased impact resistance and temperature rating, the blend of complex carbides would have higher levels of Molybdenum and Niobium.

RapidFlow® Premium Smooth Surface Carbide Overlay Plate
SAS Global Engineers a smooth surface finish on all SureAlloy® Premium Weld Overlay Products. The standard SureAlloy® surface finish can be blanchard ground to provide an even lower coefficient of friction for applications with heavy material hang-up issues. This premium surface is known as RapidFlow® Premium Surface Carbide Overlay Plate. The surface is ground and polished to a 0.2 Ra Micro-Meters finish. This finish is smoother than a stainless steel 304 with 2B finish.

  • Vanguard Premium Alloy Wear Plate

  • SAS Global developed Vanguard Alloy Wear Plate to specifically meet the needs and challenges associated with extreme working environments. Vanguard is a water-quenched, through-hardened, martensitic steel that is highly impact and abrasion resistant. The homogeneous hardness of Vanguard is achieved by its fine-grain microstructure, which is steadily cooled during its special quench and tempering process.  Vanguard is also a very strong and tough wear plate due to its low phosphorus and sulphur content. The high hardness and strength of  Vanguard allow it to outlast AR400 by 2 to 3 times. This allows a thinner, lighter-weight liner plate to be utilized.

    Advantages:
Through hardened for extra long service life
Long service life equates to less downtime
    460 to 540 Brinell Hardness
    High abrasion and impact resistance
    Low Phosphorus and Sulphur content

  • SAS 3D Laser Scanning Services
SAS Global provides on-site 3D Laser scanning services to capture the current conditions of your components, or complete material handling/processing systems....

  • SAS Global provides on-site 3D Laser scanning services to capture the current conditions of your components, or complete material handling/processing systems. Compared to traditional hand measuring methods, 3D scanning is more efficient, much quicker, and extremely accurate. SAS uses the latest in laser scanning technology to produce accurate and precise 3D data cloud point renderings. Each scan measures millions of points and each point knows its precise XYZ position in space. Combined, these points create a three-dimensional "point cloud" that can be navigated, drafted, and modeled in our 3D CAD software. These precise CAD drawings allow the SAS Engineering Team to create perfectly fitting components and liner systems.

    Key Advantages and Features:
    • Reduces field measurement time/labor:
For Example, a typical loader bucket takes approximately 2 hours by hand, but only 15 minutes via 3D scanning.
    • Scanning range of 100 meters
    • No size limitations:
Large items such as complete material handling systems can be captured with multiple scans.
    • Accurate with tight tolerances:
    <1/32” on smaller component scans
    1/32” to 1/16” on large component/system scans
    • Creates accurate 3D CAD drawings:
Ensures engineered components and/or liners fit perfectly into the existing location/component.
  • Reverse Engineering Services
When the OEM can’t get the part you need in time, is too expensive, wears out too quickly, or is no longer in business, SAS Global is available to reverse engineer your needed components....
