FRIEM is an Italian technology provider expert since 1950, in energy conversion, specialized in designing and manufacturing electric Power Converters.

The Group’s holding company FRIEM S.p.A. has its headquarters in Segrate (Milan) and three subsidiaries in USA (FRIEM America Ltd), Brasil (FRIEM LATAM Eireli), and Indonesia.

With a constant technologic and productive update and a strong orientation toward specific customer needs, we produce high power converters for the heavy industry. FRIEM high power rectifiers transform the power coming from the grid (AC) in direct current (DC), through which they serve industrial processes.

We design and manufacture high performance converters dedicated to hydrogen energy conversion, holding a central position in the green hydrogen supply chain.

    • FRIEM provides the rectifier and all the equipment part of the conversion system.
    The rectifier systems are designed to meet the plant most specific requirements and to work in the most challenging operating conditions, maintaining high efficiency over the years. 
    The design is optimized both for diode and thyristor rectifiers.
    The digital current regutalor DRP 7.0, entirely designed and manufactured by FRIEM, grants the highest reliability, safety and overall performances.
    After the delivery, FRIEM provides support for a lifetime with its service assistance.
  • Converters for green hydrogen production
    Rectifier for large scale electrolyzers. Robust, efficient and purpose-built, FRIEM's PSU pairs with the main electrolytic cells' technologies (Alkaline, PEM and SOEC)....

    • It can be delivered fully equipped with: rectifier transformer, DC no load isolators, thyristor rectifier, automatic harmonic filters, heat exchanger, local control cabinet, polarization rectifier and cooling cabinet. If required, in order to limiting the footprint, the PSU can be fully containerized.
