Solvay's oldest business line, starting more than 150 years ago, includes refined sodium bicarbonate, which is very effective for air pollution control. We provide sodium sorbents for SO2, SO3, HCl, and HF removal. Our dry sorbent injection (DSI) systems have demonstrated 99%+ acid gas removal rates at low CAPEX. Our systems are easily adaptable to existing systems and economically efficient. With DSI systems, there is no water usage, very low energy usage, no effluent, low residue production, and no plume.
