Hall planning will start on April 30, 2022. GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST 2019 exhibitors can easily register for the 2023 event with their existing log-in and make necessary changes on the registration form. First-time exhibitors will be guided step-by-step through the online application process. Forming the “Bright World of Metals”, these four leading international trade fairs with congresses and high-caliber ancillary programs for foundry technology, castings, metallurgy and thermo process technology will be held concurrently from June 12 – 16, 2023  at the fairgrounds in Düsseldorf, Germany.

“Our trade fair quartet is well known as the gateway to the world market. It is only here in Düsseldorf that decision-makers, experts, supplier and users in these industries can obtain a complete overview, exchange ideas and design trends for the markets of the future at not one but four trade fairs,” explained Friedrich-Georg Kehrer, Global Portfolio Director at Messe Düsseldorf. “We all benefit from investment in new, green technologies; this is also reflected by our ecoMetals campaign, which has long been a model for success and has become an integral part of the “Bright World of Metals”. Eligible for participation in this campaign are all exhibitors who particularly take environmental aspects such as resource savings, energy efficiency and climate neutrality into account for their innovations. These topics especially appeal to trade visitors – and of course to the young talents so important to these industries. With our trade fairs we can therefore also make a certain contribution fighting skilled labor shortage,” added Friedrich-Georg Kehrer.

Whether plants, products, forward-looking solutions and concepts for the foundry, iron, steel and non-ferrous metal industries, machinery suppliers, mechanical engineering and the automotive sector: every four years these trade fairs are the meeting place for companies from around the world.

The exhibits at GIFA, METEC, THERMPROCESS and NEWCAST 2023 will be complemented by a  versatile ancillary program consisting of seminars, international congresses, symposia and lecture series.

GMTN 2023 will be organized  – on the basis of the current safety and hygiene protocol – by Messe Düsseldorf . The trade fairs will be supported by VDMA (Association of German Mechanical and Plant Engineering). Also partnering with the trade fair quartet are the Foundry Chemistry Industry Association (IVG e.V., Laatzen), the Confederation of the German Foundry Industry (BDG e.V., Düsseldorf), the German Foundrymen’s Association (VDG e.V., Düsseldorf) as well as The European Foundry Association (CAEF, Düsseldorf).

The international trade visitors at GIFA 2019 came primarily from India, Italy, China, Turkey, Japan, France, Russia, Spain, Austria and South Korea. GIFA 2023 will again cover almost the complete global ranges in the fields foundry and melting plants, refractories technologies, machinery and equipment for molding and core making, molding sands and molding auxiliaries, sand preparation and reclamation, gating and feeding, casting machines, knock-out, fettling, finishing, pattern and die making as well as control systems and automation, environmental protection, waste removal and information technologies

METEC – 11th International Metallurgical Trade Fairs with ESTAD Congress

For the eleventh time, METEC will be an integral part of the trade fair quartet. Equipment for iron, steel and non-ferrous metal production will be presented alongside lines for casting and steel forming, equipment and components for metallurgical plants and rolling or steel mills. With over 17,820 visitors (66% of international) and 618 exhibitors from 39 countries the last staging of METEC in 2019 also posted record results.

THERMPROCESS – 13th International Trade Fair and Symposium for Thermo Process Technology

Since 1974, THERMPROCESS has been the platform for innovative thermo process technology. The trade fair’s exhibit product categories in 2023 will include industrial furnaces, industrial heat treatment plants and thermal processes, equipment for special uses, components, equipment and supplies as well as occupational safety and ergonomics. The 2019 event attracted 5,923 trade visitors (50% international) and 337 exhibitors from 34 countries.

NEWCAST – 6th International Trade Fair for Castings

NEWCAST has been part of the trade fair quartet since 2003. As the world’s leading trade fair for castings it will cover all applications for castings - ranging from vehicle manufacturing, aviation and aerospace industries to machine and plant manufacturing as well as the medical device technology. In 2019, 3,404 visitors (67% international) and 443 exhibitors from 32 nations took part.
