HABETS Surface Technology produces thermal coated run out table (ROT), looper rolls, tension leveler rolls and caster rolls for hot strip mills. Those Nickel, chrome and tungsten carbide coated rolls are able outlast spun cast stainless and other type of iron rolls with exceptionally smooth surfaces and without the need to be grinded for the entire life time (up to 15 years).
We have been successfully conducting business with OEM suppliers like SMS, SVAI, Danieli and Mitsubishi and we have an outstanding network of satisfied customers around the world. Our products can be found in almost all Steel mills of Arcelor Mittal, Nucor, Severstal, Gerdau, SDI and many more internationally. For example, all 340 looper and run out table rolls for Arcelor Mittal in Gent are supplied by HABETS.
Due to the long lifetimes and high quality of these important rolls, substantial medium and long term savings can be realized and the impact on the rolled steel quality of your mill, far out-ways the initial cost for these components. The high hardness coupled with smooth surfaces eliminates the need to grind ROT rolls completely. The special coating also increased the grip between strip and rolls which significantly lowers the risk for cobbles on the way to the coiler.
