Cartagena, Spain’s best kept secret!

Cartagena is one of the most important military ports of Spain since roman times. The expansion and development of the Cruise Terminal carried out in 2017, has provided a 4,500m2 berth that is 700m long and 12m deep, allowing two vessels to berth simultaneously. The Terminal features rest and shade areas, information point, port police and civil guard centers and a bus and taxi parking area.

Many civilizations have settled in Cartagena leaving behind 3,000 years of history: the Punic Cartagena founded around the year 229 BC; the mining riches which converted the city one of the most important colonies of the Roman period; the Arabs and the conquest for the “Castilla”; the military splendour of the XVIII century to its conversion into the Marine Department of the Mediterranean, and the XIX century, when Cartagena lived one of its most splendid time thanks to its industrialization and the important port traffic.

Brands: Cartagena, located in the southeast coast of Spain, offers 3,000 years of history together with a natural harbor, a 700m long cruise quay and all the necessary facilities for cruise passengers.
