The ports newest terminal, the £55m Horizon Cruise Terminal, is a multi-user terminal and welcomed its first passengers in July 2021. The terminal has 2,234 roof-mounted solar panels, generating more energy than it uses.
Horizon and Mayflower Cruise Terminal's are shore power connected, offering ships with the right onboard technology the opportunity to plug in for zero emissions at berth.
