MEYER WERFT is one of the largest and most modern shipyards in the world. Cruise ships for international shipping companies have been built in our building halls for several decades. More than 50 luxury liners have left our shipyard to date – and the next vessels are already under construction.

The Meyer family has kept its shipbuilding company on course for over 225 years – that’s seven generations. The company was founded in Papenburg in 1795 and our shipyard is still located there to this day. Over the centuries, MEYER WERFT constantly showed its pioneering spirit. After expanding our production and construction halls, we delivered the world’s first cruise ship with a low-emission LNG propulsion system in 2018. MEYER WERFT is considered to be one of the leading technological specialists in the field of cruise ship construction.
