The Southern California Labor Compliance (SCLC) is committed to the enforcement of labor standards on Roofing and Waterproofing construction projects performed in the State of California. Labor compliance was one of the principal reasons for the formation of SCLC, and remains an important consideration to this day. Toward this end we monitor public and privately‐funded projects from bidding through project award and construction, always seeking to maintain fairness for all contractors. The entire structure of construction bidding rests upon a foundation of honesty and fair dealing.
The SCLC has partnered with various agencies and organizations to continue its fight against unscrupulous contractors and protect publically funded projects. Presently, the SCLC utilizes agencies such as the Workers Compensation Fraud Unit, CA Department of Industrial Relations, CA Employment Development Department’s Fraud Division, CA Department of Insurance, CA Franchise Tax Board, CA Department of Labor, CA Contractors Licensing Board, District Attorney’s Offices, and others to assist in criminally prosecuting offenders who choose to be in violation of the law.
