marine glazing Brombach + Gess

Brombach + Gess has been a specialist in glass bonding technology in industrial shipbuilding for over 30 years. The company creates unlimited views for cruise vessels and river cruise vessels by opening up larger panoramas via the use of frameless glass facades and other glass constructions. Examples of the product portfolio are glass facades, windscreen and balustrade solutions, glass sliding roofs, frameless sliding windows, skylights, fire rated glasses, etc.
A new product highlight is the „Loggia-Cabin Window System“. The system comprises a floor-to-ceiling glass window, which is divided horizontally into a moveable upper pane and a lower fixed pane. When closed, both windows align to form a flat facade but when the passenger pushes a button, the upper pane slides down in front of the lower pane to create a loggia-style cabin with a moveable handrail. This enables cruise lines to enlarge the space in passenger cabins by the size of the former balcony. This new development provides an "infinite-feeling" and thus creates a new and innovative cabin category.
Brombach + Gess will demo the system at Seatrade Cruise Global Show in Miami!

    THE IDEA

In a conventional balcony cabin, the outdoor area can only be used in good weather conditions and at comfortable temperatures. The balcony is only available for the exterior area and limits privacy to the sides. Therefore Brombach+Gess has developed the idea that the former balcony area becomes a permanent part of the cabin and can be used, in its entirety, while maintaining privacy. This avoids the view and noise to the neighbouring cabins. The cabins can be fitted out with high quality furniture. The concept combines the benefits of an open area with those of a large cabin.
