Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (Dubai Tourism) is the principal authority for planning, supervision, development and marketing of Dubai’s tourism and commerce sector. Responsible for the licensing and classification of all tourism services including hotels, tour operators and travel agents, its mission is to increase awareness of Dubai to global audiences and to attract tourists and inward investment into the Emirate.

Dubai Cruise Tourism (DCT) an integral part of the department, focuses on increasing cruise tourist numbers and contributing to Dubai Tourism’s strategic goal of welcoming 20 million visitors annually by 2020.

DCT works in synergy with Government and private stakeholders within Dubai and internationally to improve sustainability and development of this key tourism sector for the Emirate.
