CIEE Global Navigator High School Study Abroad
Founded in 1947, CIEE is the country’s oldest and largest nonprofit study abroad and intercultural exchange organization, delivering the highest-quality programs that increase global understanding and intercultural knowledge. We provide participants with skills, competencies, and experiences that elevate their ability to contribute positively to our global community.Each year, hundreds of American high school students benefit from our Global Navigator programs to study abroad in over 50 global destinations. Programs for high school-age students include:
- Summer Abroad - 3-4 weeks focusing on language and culture, service and leadership or content studies.
- Semester or Year Abroad - full immersion programs (trimester, semester or academic year) where students live with host families and attend local, college preparatory high schools.
- Gap Year Abroad - semester or academic year programs focusing on language and culture, service and leadership or global internship.
