PANDAT software: an essential tool for ICME practitioners
CompuTherm LLC, a spin-off company from University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1996, is a leading developer of CALPHAD-based modeling tools. These tools are currently used by thousands of ICME practitioners and students worldwide. Coupling the software and thermodynamic/mobility databases developed at CompuTherm, advanced materials can be developed by design. Pandat software uses the latest technology of computer science and equips with a robust thermodynamic calculation engine, a friendly graphical user interface, and a flexible post-calculation table editing function which allows user to plot variety of diagrams. A key feature of the newly released Pandat2017 is the high-throughput calculation through which thousands of calculations can be performed by a simple setting and alloys with user-defined optimum properties can be mined from the calculated results. CompuTherm also develop customized databases for customers’ special applications. Visit http://www.computherm.com for more info.
