Schools Excess Liability Fund is a not-for-profit JPA formed by California schools in 1986 following a nationwide insurance crisis that left most schools unable to purchase or unable to afford excess liability coverage. Now, more than 36 years later, the organization continues to serve Caifornia's schools and colleges as the preferrred excess liablity solution. Governed by the membership through an elected Board of 16 and a host of alternates, SELF has the unique ability to offer much broader coverage than what is traditionally available commerically. The sharing of mutual goals and values with our membership is what sets SELF apart from the other excess solutions offered in the marketplace. We offer attachment points of $1 million and $5 million and provide your district with limits up to $55 million (inclusive of SIR). Trust what California schools created. Trust SELF.
