Cleveland Clinic offers a 5-year MD track and a Molecular Medicine PhD Program. Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine is a unique medical school program that sets standards for the training of physician investigators through innovative approaches to the integration of basic science, research and clinical medicine that extends throughout the five years of medical school with a required master’s level thesis based on hypothesis-driven clinical or basic research. All students receive a full and fees tuition scholarship.
The Molecular Medicine PhD Program is a Howard Hughes Funded “Med Into Grad” initiative that prepares PhD students for research careers at the interface of basic science and clinical medicine. This unique program integrates clinical correlates throughout the PhD core curriculum. Students work with both a Research Advisor and Clinical Mentor for their thesis research project. Students are fully funded and receive a stipend, a laptop and textbooks.
