The Multicultural Academic Opportunities Program (MAOP) is an academic success community built founded on the principles of self-efficacy, mentoring, and peer support. Central to the goal of MAOP is the promotion of diversification within the student body of Virginia Tech. MAOP provides a 10-week summer research internship for undergraduates in a variety of different majors. MAOP provides students with a stipend, housing, meals, and GRE classes. There will be informaiton at the table regarding Virginia Tech's Graduate School as well.

The mission of the Virginia Tech Graduate School is to advance graduate education as a critical component in the transmission of new knowledge, new research, new ideas, and new scholarship in the University.

The Graduate School is committed to providing a rich learning environment that attracts and retains outstanding graduate students to work closely with outstanding faculty to advance knowledge and understanding that enables us to address the complex issues of today's society and tomorrow's future.
