University of Washington - PREP & Bioengineering
UW PREP
UW and the Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center have a Post-Baccalaureate Research Education Program (NIH funded) that offers several research fellowships each year to students with a strong interest in pursuing a graduate degree in the biological sciences. Particularly suitable candidates would be students that may not have the necessary laboratory experience; that may have decided late in their undergraduate career to pursue a career in the sciences; or, that may need additional upper-level course work to provide confidence of successful matriculation in graduate school.
UW Bioengineering
UW Bioengineering offers a Master of Science (MS) in Bioengineering and a PhD in Bioengineering. We offer unique partnerships with the UW School of Medicine, UW Molecular Engineering & Systems Institute, UW Center for Nanotechnology, UW Department of Global Health, and UW Business School. Our research focuses on five themes:
- Biomaterials & Regenerative Medicine
- Molecular & Cellular Engineering
- Systems, Synthetic & Quantitative Biology
- Technology for Expanding Access to Healthcare
- Instrumentation, Imaging & Image-Guided Therapy
