The Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) is the Midwest's premiere private, freestanding Graduate, Medical & Pharmacy School. Previously known as the Marquette University School of Medicine, MCW is now part of the largest Medical Center in the state of Wisconsin, featuring partners such as Froedtert Hospital and Children's Hospital of Wisconsin.
Our researchers received more than $154 million in external funding during fiscal year '13-'14, with $79 million in support from the National Institutes of Health, ranking 10th in the nation for dollars per award received. Our 1,500 faculty physicians provide adult and pediatric care to more than 500,000 patients annually. MCW's research enterprise emphasizes interdisciplinary collaborations that translates discoveries into health care advancements. The 2,500 research studies and clinical trials completed last year included focuses in cancer biology, functional imaging, molecular biology and genetics, neuroscience, cardiovascular physiology and many more.
